Award Winning Romance Novelist - Shirley Mann
Shirley is an award-winning author who writes romantic war novels which preserve the legacy of servicewomen whose stories remain untold.
She won RNA Romantic Saga Novel of the Year, 2021 with her second novel, 'Bobby's War' about an ATA pilot . Other novels include 'Lily’s War' inspired by her mother who was a WAAF in Bomber Command and 'Hannah's War' about a Land Army girl who meets her nemesis in frozen turnips, a huge shire horse and German POW. A fourth book, 'Bridget's War,' about a policewoman on the internment camp in the Isle of Man has now been published. She is signed with Bonnier Zaffre Publishers and agent, Kate Barker.
A journalist, she has worked across newspapers and BBC radio and TV and after years of working as a conduit for other people's stories both in news and current affairs and as a producer in own company of Harvest Creative, she is now concentrating on a belated writing career.
